How To Qualify For  Treatment

Just like all therapies and medical procedures, spinal decompression should not be taken lightly. There are cases in which spinal decompression can be HUGE benefit to your pocket book and your health, and there are cases in which spinal decompression can be counterproductive.

We require that all patients are first qualified by a spine doctor before undergoing treatment.

We offer a risk-free, no-obligation exam and - if you qualify - one free treatment.

If you have X-rays of your spine, please bring them. And if you have an MRI, bring it also.

If you do not have X-rays or an MRI, you may be required to purchase X-rays or an MRI, before you can begin treatment.

The State of Colorado licensing board does not allow us to give away free X-rays or reduce their price. It is the law.

The best diagnosis can be made from an MRI, though X-rays tell a lot as well. Often your insurance will pay for X-rays or an MRI.

Back pain is the second greatest reason that Americans go to the doctor and miss work.

It can be caused by many things, but a common ailment that causes back pain is that one (or more) of the plump discs that rest between each vertebra of the spine begins to protrude beyond its intended boundaries and interrupt nerve flow. This is when our Colorado Springs spinal decompression clinic may be an effective solution.

We offer a no-obligation exam and two free treatments for qualifying patients. If you have X-rays or an MRI, please bring them with you. In some cases, X-rays or an MRI may be necessary in order to qualify you for treatment. Often, your health insurance will pay for X-rays and/or an MRI. The State of Colorado licensing board does not allow us to reduce X-ray fees or give them away for free. It's the law.

Bulging discs can cause numbness in the extremities, as well as shooting pains, depending on where the bulging disc is in the spine. This occurs because the disc is interrupting vital nerve flow from the brain to the rest of the body.  If the shooting pain is going down one of the legs, this is called "Sciatica."

Traditional treatment options include prescription pain medication and drug therapy, anti-inflammatory shots into the surrounding tissues of the spine, and surgery (as in a discectomy in which a portion of the disc is surgically removed).

As you might imagine, there can be many side-effects, high costs (a discectomy can cost $50,000 on the low end), risks, complications and long-term negative impacts of these types of treatments. There is no such thing as a "minor" surgery, and all drugs have side-effects and rarely address the cause of the pain.

We have witnessed hundreds of patients who have had significant or complete recoveries by using spinal decompression, in conjunction with other therapies that we also offer to re-align the spine, strengthen core stabilizing muscles, re-balance muscles and decrease inflammation.

We chose our spinal decompression table after researching the industry for 6 months. It is the most capable table on the market.

Traction is the literal term, and spinal decompression is the metaphorical term. Traction (which is technically axial elongation resulting in intervertebral distraction) is necessary to allow decompression (reduction of pressure on the disc). Once pressure on the disc is reduced, it has an opportunity to move back into place.

There is no device that uses pressure sensing equipment during every treatment and therefore the FDA, Medicare, and Blue Cross group decompression tables in the same category as traction tables, which have been used, and proven effective for back pain, for decades by medical doctors, physical therapists and chiropractors. The two words - traction and spinal decompression - can be used interchangeably.

Spinal decompression's FDA approval can be viewed here.
