You've likely seen the fancy pants DRX9000 in Colorado Springs, on a magazine cover or on tv. It looks like a 1950's space ship, ready to take off, complete with primary color flashing buttons, stainless steel, and a tv screen.
These units sold for $150,000 when they first came out. And patients paid for them, via the doctor's high prices for spinal decompression. One session could run up to $250.
We admit, the DRX9000 is flashy, and tempting, but after 6 months of research, we didn't find that it was the best table. Plus, after the FBI raided the manufacturer and charged it false advertising and teaching illegal billing to doctors, we didn't want anything to do with the company. The machines are now in a struggle over intellectual property rights and in many regions the machines are no longer serviceable.
On top of that, the Colorado Springs DRX9000 is a flat table that only allows for back and forth movement.
We instead chose the Kennedy Decompression Table, because it hyrdaluics allows us to put the patient in many different positions and create proper directional pull, based on the patient's specific condition. The thoracic and lumbar regions of the table both move so that a patient can be treated on their face or back, and they can be in a full hammock or triangle pose and everything in between.
The Kennedy decompression table also comes with vibration technology as well as an open architecture belting systems, which allows us to use laser therapy on a patient, while they are decompressing.
The Kennedy decompression table also comes with certification classes for our doctors and staff.
Plus, the lower cost of the Kennedy table allows us to pass those saving on to the consumer. Cash treatments on the Kennedy table are currently just $57. For us, it was a no-brainer.
