Does Spinal Decompression Require Certification?
Spinal decompression does not require certification, even though the technique is FDA-approved. However, our Colorado Springs spinal decompression clinic uses the Kennedy Technique to treat patients, as well as a table created by Dr. Kennedy, called the Kennedy Decompression Table (seen to the right).
Doctors are trained and certified in the Kennedy Technique, which is highly unique among other spinal decompression clinics around the nation, because it is not strictly regulated.
Certification involves a 12 hour online training course as well as a weekend training course at a major metropolitan city.
Staff is either certified or trained by a certified doctor.
